The Rooster is a replacment for the old FOXX3 kit that Kanga produced for many years. We still get asked for it but we decided to produce a new kit with better performance while keeping the cost low. We wanted more power, better BCI rejection, some audio filtering and a more practical case that was supplied as standard with the kit. The result was the Rooster. Part SMD design but ALL the SMD parts are pre-installed for you leaving around 20 parts to fit. Introduced for the first time at the RSGB 2023 National Conference .

The Rooster will give approx 2 watts of RF @13.8v  (7.030MHz) or 1.5 watts on 10.116Mhz and just over 1 watt on the 20m (14.060MHz) version.

The Rooster is supplied with a strong statin finsh aluminium case.

The manual is now 40 pages,  full of colour photos and is only availiable online. 

We also offer  alternative sets of crystals for the 40 Rooster :  (dont worry you get a set of QRP frequency crystals as standard with the kit anyway)
